Kirin Hard Cider Launch Party

Last week my friend invited me to a launch party of Kirin new hard cider. I am not a fan of "party" this kind of stuff, but as I want to make more content for my blog, I decided to go.

The Kirin hard cider launch party is taking place in Aoyama Guesthouse. It is a very nice place,  usually as a wedding place, or launch even etc. You can find more details on their official website here.

Because the new Kirin hard cider is apple flavour, so the main interior design is using the green theme. There are couple individual tables, with one section which serving the new hard cider, the other one is serving light foods, such as small desert etc. I had a spicy meatball, a kind of Spain row ham roll, cold pasta (I don't like cold pasta) and a kiwi desert made with dry ice, the food actually tastes ok. I must say the display is better than the taste. 

Kirin also set up couple different photo spots, which you can take pictures with the display and share on Instagram. I am not a fan of taking selfies or pictures around lots of people, I prefer minimalist kind of style, that is why you barely see my face on social media, and I don't really like to share my face at all. :D

The flavour of the cider is not that strong, as well as not very sweet when it is cold. My opinion is this new Kirin hard cider is very easy to drink, but I don't really like the taste of it. I can actually taste the alcohol at all, for me, this new drink is more like a Sunday afternoon "soft drink". I used to drink a lot of apple cider in London, the taste is much stronger than this one, also some of them you can taste a bit of bitter as after taste. That kind of cider is more like adult cider for me.

The whole event is doing well, all the guests are famous Japanese Instagramers. However, I think one thing they should improve is,   they should also invite some Youtubers who are foreigners that living in Japan. Because this can extend marketing influence into not only Japanese customer but also people who come from other countries that living in Japan (which the number is keep increasing). At the main time can gain more media exposure not only on Instagram, as well as Youtube.

Before you leave, they also give you a gift pack with two bottles of Kirin hard cider, a pin with its logo. Which is very kind. :D
