It is quite difficult to find a fancy cafe that with Wifi in Tokyo. Even some big coffee shop chain that doesn't have free wifi as well. We found this Nui. Hostel & Bar Lounge on Google map, usually hostel provide free Wifi, so we decided to have a try. And luckily they have free wifi and the lounge at first floor is open for everyone.
We ordered a cup of Americano and a cup of latte. Usually in London, if you go to this kind of well-decorated cafe. They often charge you an unreasonable price. The good thing in Japan is that only some of those fancy cafe/restaurant will charge you a ridiculous price. The taste of the coffee is good, same as the cafe I went last week (Sunshine State Espresso). It isn't sour or too bitter.
A good cafe can keep you there for hours, this Nui Hostel and Bar Lounge is one of them. They have a huge window in the front so you can watch people walking pass. I just got my first Japanese book that day, so a cup of coffee, a book what a lovely afternoon. If you prefer a quiet atmosphere to enjoy your favourite book. I recommended arrive earlier and leave before the bar starting time.
1st-floor is an opening bar lounge space, which as a cafe from 8am to 6pm. Then it becomes a kitchen/bar from 6pm to the next day 1 am (food service only until 11pm). From 2-5th floor are hostel spaces.
The cafe is busier than I thought. The whole interior design is mixed with modern and nature. In the middle of the cafe, there is a huge tree body as a decoration. Most of the tables are made of wood, even the sink in the toilet. I like how the wooden and plants mix with those concrete wall. That is exactly I wish my future home will look like.
According to their official website, they are also organising some events that you can join. If you want to meet different people, these events can be a good opportunity.
From Asakusa station to Nui Hostel and Bar Lounge is about 10 minutes walk. Or you can access from Kuramae Station. There are so many cool cafes around Kuramae area. My aim is to complete each of them week by week.
