It is located inside Tokyo Skytree. Tokyo Skytree is just so big, I got lost almost every time. The entrance is outside, so if you followed the sign, you will find it eventually.
The ticket is 2,050 for adult, which I think is expensive for the value. Because the size of it is not that big.
We went there around summer time, so they are doing some special event inside. Well, if you been to the aquarium in Okinawa, then this one just looks like a playground for kids.
I personally highly recommend the Churaumi Aquarium in Okinawa, check out my post about it, then you will definitely want experience it as well.
I am not a big fan of the aquarium, but I still want to visit it if there is a chance. My place is near Tokyo Skytree, and I do want to check out Sumida Aquarium one year ago, but once I saw the ticket price and the size of it. I decide maybe not worth it?
Luckily my boss asked me to take care of his guests and his kid, so I took them to Sumida Aquarium. lol
My favourite "fish" or "animal" is jellyfish. And yes Asian do eat them as a dish. You can find it in Japanese Izakaya as well. It is called kurage. I like the taste of it, so if you want to try at least once in your life. I believe in can find it in big supermarkets or some convenient stores.
Overall, I don't really think Sumida Aquarium worth the ticket price, but if your aim is visiting all the aquarium in the world or you really like fishes, then it will be a good indoor place during a raining day or an extreme weather.
