Couple weeks ago my boyfriend and I finally went to a Cat Cafe near Asakusa. We didn't go there before because we feel the price is a little bit expensive sometimes. Most of the shop charge by minutes range, or by the hour.
The good thing of this cat cafe is you don't need to order a drink if you don't feel like it. Some of the cafes, you must order one drink.
The time will start counting once you arrive your seat XD. And the minimal I think is 30 minutes, then it will count as 10 minutes range. The owner will not stop you enjoy these lovely cats. You need to tell him your own when you want to leave.
Well, how can you say no to those lovely babies? Even they are being so mean to you, or just ignore you, they are still the best!
This one is called Cat Cafe Monta, it is near Tobu Asakusa Station, next to Starbucks. There are two different price range for Monday to Friday and Weekend (including special holidays).
The owner will come out say welcome to you and ask if you are the first time visitor. If you are he will explain basic rules to you. Don't worry they do have an English version of it printed on a handy notebook.
Then you take off your shoes, change to the slipper, take off your coat if you want and put all your belongings in a specific area. This can make sure those lovely cats won't accidentally eat some weird thing hang on your bag or etc. Also, you need to clean up your hands in order to get rid of bacterias from outside.
I am not sure when is the best time to visit a cat cafe during the day. Because cats sometimes getting tired or falling sleep all the time. Also, they might already use to those toys in the shop, so some of them just watching you like you are their slaves. lol
It was a fun experience over all. If you tired waiting for seats for getting some free Wifi at Starbucks, or people everywhere? Maybe go to one of the cat cafes around you. Your stress and bad motion will go away after you see these cuties.
